ABOUT ME

I was searching for a change. Something to get me out of feeling depressed, lost, stuck in the routine of life. I needed to find freedom from the constant mind chatter, from a life that seemed filled with expectations that simply felt overwhelming.

So I began to pursue a quiet stillness with God through meditative prayer. My heart began to open up, my mind slowed down, my body began to feel an inner calm. As I opened myself up even more through self-reflection and journal writing, I felt a gentle nudge to bring the gift of creativity back into my life.

Flowers blooming in the backyard were only the beginning. Curious to see what I could create from God's creation, I began to use flowers as paint, then dried flowers combined with simple lines, marks, scribbles, and images as a way to express this free spirit creativity I had been given. My art journal began to be a new path of self-expression. A way to give a voice, a visual, to what was in my mind and my heart. A way to express feelings and dreams. A way to express me.

With another gentle nudge from that inner voice, I felt the calling to inspire you in your personal creative expression to reflect what your life, your dreams, your heart are needing to say so you can create from your free spirit, too. Perhaps it is time for you to connect to your creative self.

When you express yourself through creativity, you are showing your spirit,
your soul, and your heart that you are listening from the inside.

Once there was a girl who had God-given talent as an artist.

She was told to color in the lines. She wasn't given tons of encouragement to follow her own creative expression.

She left art behind.

God doesn't allow His gifting to the children that He loves to go wasted though and He wasn't done with her, yet.

He put up a wall in one direction to guide her back toward her true gifts.

He showed her fun again and in a new way...even in little things like gifts and cards for family and "flower" arrangements around the house. He showed her how to express herself using His creation, using artistic tools that had long been forgotten. He gave her a way to be who He created her to be and to share her story.

He blessed her with an outpouring that fills pages and canvasses.

And look what is happening now...look who she has become...
